need help with Filter

Hi again;
on a multi page tfolder
on page 1 i save a fielda that i want to use as a filter on
a tdbbrowse so only records matching that value of filedA are shown
cant find good samples of set filter...
tried harbor but get internal error

Josemo,
The filter value must be a expression recognized by the underlying database
system. In case of SQL datasources it must be a valid WHERE clause. In case
of DBF datasets it must be a expression compatible with the SET FILTER
command.

thanks for the reply..
is set filter the way to go or is set relation of the dbfs better?
is it possible to get an example of each? I cant find one in samples that i can follow
