compiler, videos, newsgroup....
The US may be your strongest market.
If it is not in English, you may have
a hard time selling large quantities of it.
Right now, I could not buy it for any
price, since I can not read it or the NG.
It looks good though, like delphi. Just needs
to be in english. I think if you converted it
to english, took Philip Kahn's approach to
selling it, it would be the hottest thing since
Turbo Pascal. Want to sell it or the US marketing
rights cheap, so I could make milions of $ ......?
just my 2 cents worth...
thanks
Allen

is there and english version of this?
Allen,
Most Xailer's user are spanish speaking people for now. That's why almost
messages in this NG are in spanish. But anyone can post any msg in english
too, like you've just done, and we can reply in english too (sorry if my
english is not good enought).
There are also 2 NG more, both private, one in spanish and the other in
english. These 2 NG are accesible only for registered users, that is, users
that purchased xailer pro.
ITOH, Xailer supports 8 languages right now: Spanish, English, French,
German, Italian, Portuguese, Catala and Galego. These languages are
supported in both IDE and GUI. All the documentation is in spanish and
english, although the videos are only in spanish; we'll try to translate
them ASAP.
However, we apreciate your words, and we'll try to extend our products a
little more into the english market.

is there and english version of this?
Allen
I am an English Canadian who purchased Xailer. I am impressed with the
product and the support that Jose and Ignacio provide,
I too, however, miss lurking in the newsgroup for information. The
local.xailer.pro.en group does not seem to ever have any messages.
I suspect that it a chicken and egg problem:
More non-Sapnish speaking users would encourage more English stuff.
More English stuff would encourage more non-Spanish speakers to buy Xailer.
Allen, you probably should, despite your misgivings, try Xailer. I suspect
that Xailer, unlike Borland, does not have big bucks to invest up front.
They, like most of us, choose to put their limited resources into the
product rather than documentation and marketing. Maybe when they get past
the 'prerelease' stage, there will be a big effort in north America.
In the 35 years that I have been developing software, there were several
products where I thought "Hey, let's spend $1,000,000 and really do this
right!" This was, of course, immediately followed by "Naw, let's just do it
cheap and hope the product is so good it will catch on by itself!" It never
did.
Jose's apologies about his English cause me to look for him to make
mistakes. I have never found any.

Mike,

Thanks for your words. My main problem with my poor english is that many
times I can't say all what I'd like to say. So, I use to say only a few
words.
