DBF/NTX Problem

Mensaje por g.s.rogers »

When I append a new record to a dataset with AddNew() and Update(), the
index files do not appear to be updated. I have the dataset scoped at the
time I am adding a new record and the new record does not appear in the
linked DBBrowse table until I reindex the .dbf file. I have checked the IDX
property of the dataset and I have all three indices listed there as
follows:
CAPLAINT
CAPLNAME
CAPLIDNM
These indices are .NTX files and are in the same directory as the datasource
for the dataset. I have a form to reindex files and the dataset I have in
that form lists the indices the exact same way. Once I run that routine, the
appropriate records show up in my app's dbbrowse controls. I have no idea
why the indices are not getting updated properly when the new record is
added.
Thanks for your help.
