I had previously purchased the Visual xHarbour (in 2011) and then migrated
to Xailer in 2012 and I am pleased with the tool and how I see several
colleagues in the News VXH virtually no support, I contacted a few in order
to present the Xailer and they can try, because maybe, just that this is
good for me to be for them, before this I forward you this email I sent to
Josh (News colleague of VXH) so if you can answer some questions he
introduced me.
Regards
Cassiano.

Cassiano,
How many members are there in the Xailer community?
Is there an easy way to convert or do I have to rebuild everything?
I do not work daily with xHarbour. But I have a couple projects where I have
to work on.
Kind regards
Jos

Hi Josh,
(By Google Translate)
In 2011 I bought the Harbour, but a few months later I realized it would not
work because of some instability in the tool, in 2012 bought the Xailer
(www.xailer.com) and, since then I am very satisfied, and stable tool
support staff / development compromised.
I know what a waste of time and money invested in both VXH, but ultimately
failed.
If you want to add me on Skype (calunaty.dou) to talk, feel free.
Regards
Cassiano.

Dear Sir,
>>How many members are there in the Xailer community?
We are small community because xBase programmers are also a small community. We believe we are one of the most important commercial companies around the xbase world. You just need to google 'xbase' and you will see we are on the top five. With our latest publications: Suppport of Harbour & MinGW and Fast-Report for Xailer our relevance on the xbase world has grown and we expect it will continue in the near future. Time will say. This forums may give you a clue of the size our community.
>>Is there an easy way to convert or do I have to rebuild everything?
From VXH. I'd never use that tool, sorry. Maybe Cassiano can help you on that issue.
Regards,

Josh, in relation to migrate the projects I can not help, because when I
started using the VxH I saw that it would not succeed in the future because
I had some problems in the beginning and that the support was not help me
when I hoped, so I decided to try other alternatives, despite finding the C#
a robust tool would have to rewrite all my code, that's when a colleague
introduced me to the tool and after testing and have help forum, I realized
that would be the way. I'm using a little over 1 year, but completely
satisfied with some small projects running smoothly for clients and native
database, now I'm migrating my main system that is still in console mode.
I am available to help in whatever you need if you want to test this tool.

Regards
Cassiano.

Visual xHarbour
Jumping in on this I will say that we have been using Xailer for over 6 years now and I have been 100% happy with the product and support received in all that time.
We are two programmers with background in dBaseII->Clipper->Clipper/ADS->xHarbour/ADS for our main application of business accounting and stock control.
Over all these years we continually looked for a Windows GUI product and bought things like Visual Objects, Delphi, VxHB but could never achieve our productivity with these tools because of their architecture or bugs or lack of support. We also looked at VB, Visual Studio, .Net but our productivity would have been zero for many months/years.
One feature we look for is to be able to generate certain forms and controls in CODE for some of our applications and this has been difficult to achieve until we found Xailer.
With Xailer originally using xHarbour we were able to reuse huge amounts of business code from our xHarbour console apps. Now Xailer has moved to Harbour and the changes required were minimal. Xailer also supports ADS just fine.
6+ years on I cannot think of a better GUI development product for us than Xailer .... full stop.
