Hi,
After installing the latest Xailer on a new pc, I'm getting the same
error that Dionisis reported, some years back:
Xailer: Error adding resources to the application (5)
Are we still using Borland for Harbour-configured Xailer? What version
of Xailer switches to MingW?

error 5 means "access denied". It's surely (at 99%) that there is
something that locks the executable when Xailer are trying to add the
standard resources to it. Almost times it's caused by the antivirus
software.

Xailer 2.7 already uses BCC. The new upcoming Xailer 3.0 will work with
MinGW. It's almost finished. In fact, we're in testing phase, and for
sure it'll be published anytime in this month, before Christmas

Error adding resources
Huh, looks like it's a non-issue. Even after disabling Webroot, the message is still there. But since there are no external resources to add, it creates the executable anyway.
Ok, looking forward to leaving Borland behind, thanks.

it's possible (as pointed in Harbour mailing list about similar problem)
that the index server service from the OS were locking the file just
when it's created. Try disabling indexing capabilities for the folders
where you are working.

Error adding resources
Hi,
I just installed Xailer 2.6.1 on a new Windows 8 notebook and now I have the
same problem.
The indexing of the project folder is disabled.
Any idea what to do?
Regards
Ingo
