My own components in IDE (feature request)

Mensaje por Oleg »

Jose!
I asked you some time ago (when I want to purchase Xailer):
"Can I create my own components (maybe inherited from Xailer components) and
add them to Xailer IDE (something like in Delphi)?" and you answered me: "In
the near future".
I know that I'm quite impatient but this feature is very important for me :)
I would make some components which I cannot make now, for example button
with assigned key shortcut and so on.
I also think that this feature will be very valueable for Xailer itself,
because users will be able to extend Xailer with their components.
Maybe you already have some preliminary support or some undocumented info
for this feature.
It would be pleasure for me to test it.
Thank you. Oleg.

Yes. It's in our todo list.

Well, the final goal is to support any kind of component maden for Xailer,
and let to add it to any tab into the IDE's component palette.
But the first step will be to support 'user components'; that is, components
(or controls) completly unknown for the IDE, which can be placed in a form
as a 'black box'. That way, you could develop your own controls and place
them in a form, although you can't set most of their properties directly
from the IDE. Well, this feature will be available before the complete
support of third party components.

Yes, of course. That's why we plan to do it ;-)

No, sorry. There is nothing yet to test.

Thanks for your offer. We'll contact you when there is something to test.
