Index While

Mensaje por Aguiar Costa »

Hello !
How do i do an Index While command using DbfDataset ? Or just a simple index
?
I have an open Dataset (ADS+NTX) with 1 or 2 index files in aIdxFiles
property. How do i create and add a new index file ?
I read long time ago that the use of "index while" was not a good
programming techinic. So what is the alternative ?
TIA.
Aguiar !!!

Aguiar,
oDbfDataSet:Select()
INDEX ON ....
For common index creation you may use the method AddTag()

Why not? I have never used it, ,but is the same as the "for" clause but
stops when the condition is not met. Just be cautious on setting the
appropiate Tag first and use the SUBINDEX clause.
