lExtendedUI misunderstand

Trying to activate the Extended User Inderface of a comboBox througt it's
lExtendedUI property , I noticed the following property behavior :
Assigng a value of .T. in the object inspector field for lExtendedUI
property, after saving ,compiling and run the program nothing changes in the
F4 key behavior. But
when assign a value of .T. at run time for this property
works as expected. i.e F4 stops Open an close list of comboBox and the only
way to Open comboBox list
is via the down key (as mentoned on the Xailer Help file).
Is this behavior correct ?
