Hi Gents
I have just spent a whole morning playing with the Active X side of Xailer
What is the offical status of the OCX support in Xailer?
I have 4 test projects
Remote Desk Top Client
Citrix ICA client
The Outlook calendar thing I submitted last week
A test Explorer like your test one
Now you have done the hatch thing that makes it a lot easier to troubleshoot
things
In my Remote Desktop project I can query properties but I can't call the
methods
In the outlook project I can call methods, query properties but I can't
trigger events
In my Citrix ICA project I can call methods, query properties but I can't
trigger events
I thought I must be going crazy so I went and recreated a cut down version
of your explorer sample, in this, everything works as expected.
If the status is "WIP" I'm happy to provide sample projects with links to
the downloads and docs etc
It seems a few of us may be wasting time on something that is still not
really completed.
Keep up the great work though ;-)

Hi Stephan
Was this an empty reply? Or did something get lost along the way?
Cheers

Hi All
I have worked out that at least the order in which you do things when
initalising an OCX object matters (most people may already know this)
I worked out that my RDP project couldn't access the Connect Method because
I was calling create() to late.
This works
METHOD LoadRDP( oSender ) CLASS TForm1
WITH OBJECT ::oOcxRDP := TRdpClient5():New(Self)
:nAlign := alCLIENT
:Create()
:OnConnecting :='RDPConnecting'
:OnConnected :='RDPConnect'
:OnDisconnected :='RDPDisconnect'
:Server := 'Srv-ts'
:UserName := 'Nick'
:Domain := 'Capsol'
:SetFocus()
END
::oOcxRDP:Connect()
::oOcxRDP:SetFocus()
RETURN Nil
//---------------------------------------------------------- --------------------
METHOD RDPConnecting( oSender ) CLASS TForm1
MsgBox("RDPConnecting")
::oOcxRDP:SetFocus()
RETURN Nil
//---------------------------------------------------------- --------------------
METHOD RDPConnect( oSender ) CLASS TForm1
MsgBox("RDPConnect")
::oOcxRDP:SetFocus()
RETURN Nil
//---------------------------------------------------------- --------------------
METHOD RDPDisconnect( oSender ) CLASS TForm1
MsgBox("RDPDisconnect")
::oOcxRDP:SetFocus()
RETURN Nil
The events don't fire still, I have studied the explorer sample with a fine
tooth comb, (I'm bald so my comb had nothing better to do)
In the explorer example the events are before the call to create like this
WITH OBJECT ::oOcxRDP := TRdpClient5():New(Self)
:nAlign := alCLIENT
:OnConnecting :='RDPConnecting'
:OnConnected :='RDPConnect'
:OnDisconnected :='RDPDisconnect'
:Create()
:Server := 'Srv-ts'
:UserName := 'Nick'
:Domain := 'Capsol'
:SetFocus()
END
It makes no difference though, still no events fire
Can someone from the XA team test this and let me know if I in fact a
nutter, it will only take about 5 minutes
Cheers
Nick
