Before August we will publish a last release of Xailer 2 Beta which surely
will include the native support of PostgreSQL, and on the first fortnight of
September we will publish the definitive version of Xailer 2.0.

Dionisis,
Don't be too hard on them! I think they want to get it right, rather than
rush it out...
Judging by the product, overall I would have to say that Xailer is the best
thing out there for xBase (and I've evaluated alternative for the last 8
years).
But that's just me....

Hello Gary
Bellow are some of promised features for xailer2
that are not exist yet:
a.. Data modules
a.. Enhancements on copy & paste operations from the form editor
a.. Undo operations on the form editor
a.. Block operations within the object inspector that affect more than one
control
a.. Report generator
a.. Template forms
a.. Assistants
a.. MinGW compiler support
a.. Support of multiple projects on the IDE
a.. Native datasource for FireBird
a.. PDF generation through TCanvas class
a.. Visual form inheritance
Other xbase products month by month offer new classes and functions, in
xailer the only real addistion is the ListView conrol. I love Xailer too
much but promises must become reality.

There's one thing we should clarify:
We have already a "road map" of the forthcoming features of the Xailer 2.0.
Many of them are already finished but not fully tested yet. Belive me,
they are finished, I've already seen some of them but I'm not allowed to
make public comments (yet) until the Xailer Team tell me that they are
already tested and ready to be released.
The Xailer Team is not as irresponsable as other products, releasing
features that aren't fully tested, or don't work as expected, or don't
work at all, and after that giving excuses to not complete them or
telling people "add this code to see if it works, if not, let us know".
Personally I'd prefer a release with all the features included to be
working as expected than a release full of features half done or not
usables.
The "other" products, as you say, are releasing new classes and fuctions
every month, but are they fully completed, tested and documented ?, I'm
afraid not, Visual xHarbour is not fully stable nor finished and the
visual classes are not documented, FiveWin doesn't have a decent
documentation at all, and every month they release new things that
nobody uses, and when the people tries to use them they simply don't
work as expected, go to their forums and you will see that not body is
using VxHB for production projects and the new features of FW are full
or bugs and are half done.
My two cents.

Hello Rene
Before two months stop renewing my subscription to xHarbour for the
reasons you mentioned in your post.
Also in past i used the Antonio product, but as you can say ( i know your
story with FW), lack in documantation and for some others reasons (ide
etc..). I stack with xailer since earlies beta's,
so xailer became the absolute tool for me to writing my applications. But
as i dont promise to my clients any 'cosmetic things' that i am not ready
to made , the same thing i demande from the others.
This is to clarify my fillings about Xailer.
Best regards
