TImageList has no events

Mensaje por Frank Verlinde »

Hi all,
In the Xailer 3.2.0 IDE (november 2013, demo), when I add a TImagelist to a
form, the Events tab in object inspector is empty.
Am I missing something?

Yes, this component does not have any event.

Can you elaborate a bit more what do you need?

TImageList has no events

Thanks José,
I am just comparing Xailer with Visual xHarbour.
I've not decided wich to use.
I was using the tutorial movies of VXH and trying to compare this with
Xailer.
Apparently the imagelist is implemented different in both, so I was puzzled.
I thought, because TImageList has methods, it should have events also, but
that's my mistake.
I'm used to program in xHarbour, console applications, and the step to the
'Visual' world is still confusing to me.
Thanks anyway,

May I ask what event is it and its purpose?

The first steps are somehow hard but once you get the basic concepts it's
not too difficult to write GUI applications.
Don't hesitate to ask for any help you may need while testing the IDE.

José,
No events needed with TImageList.
I only thought that beceause it has methods, it should have events also,
but, of course, events and methods are totally different things :-)
Instead of using the VXH video's as a tutorial for Xailer, I should better
study the Xailer samples and use them as a tutorial.
And, when needed, I'll ask my questions here (thanks for the offer).
