I would like get access to a MySQl-database hosted by planetscale.com.
When I try to connect I get the error message "server does not allow insecure connections, client must use SSL/TLS".

Is it possible to solve this?

Mostly I use MariaDB instead of DDF now but in this case I am sticked to a web server with MySQL.

Using Xailer 8.0.1 I get an error with this code (with Xailer 7 it works):

Hi!

When I have a bitmap (16x16) in a browser column, the calculated row height is bigger than on a browse with no bitmap at all.
With Xailer 6 the row height stays the same.

Using 7-Zip I found it.

finally I found the problem.
my.ini contained the row 'character-set-server=utf8'.
I deleted that line and now it works.

I would like to encourage everbody to use MariaDB!
Very powerful and I am asking myself why I have stuck with dbf for so long.
The Xailer team did a great work with ...

changing the character set to 'latin1' did not help.

When I try to save a field with an umlaut I get this error message:

Hi!

I have a problem with german umlauts.
On my developing pc the umlauts are shown correctly in the application and when I browse the data with HeidiSQL.
But on my customers side it is correct in HeidiSQL not in my application.

Hi!

When I try to edit a record of a MariaDB database table I get this error message: "Read-only access set, 'Edit' is not possible"
The user rights are set and with HeidiSQL I am able to edit the database.

Any ideas?
