How can I have a program drop down the calendar in a TDateEdit control?
I am trying to maintain keyboard access using F1 to various 'help'

I too, however, miss lurking in the newsgroup for information. The
local.xailer.pro.en group does not seem to ever have any messages.

I want to change change the font in an edit control to italics if I
determine that the user should not modify the data.
I have tried various techniques like:
oEdit1:oFont:lItalic := .t.
oEdit1:oFont::nStyle := 1
These tend to change other fonts, but not oEdit1.

load the aItems property with the data values from the table. When I do not
do that, there are no values in the drop down list.
What is the table is very long? Do all of the values to be displayed have

Outlook Express kept telling me my 1st message when I did exceed the 70k
limit was rejected even after I removed the EXE to cut down the size. I
thought it referred to the subsequent messages with smaller attachments
which obviously got through.

The TCombibox OnExit event does not seem to be firing.
In the attached simple example, Button1 and Button2 update Label2 when they
exit. Combobox1 does not.
What am I missing? I need the OnExit event to do error checking.

The OnExit event of the TCombobox does not seem to be firing.
In the attached project, there is one form with 2 buttons, a label and a
combobox.
Each control has an OnExit event which shows the exit in the label.
Button1 and Button2 work as expected and Combobox1 does not work at all.

When I replied to the message re: new documentation pdf file, Outlook
Express gave me grief about a newsgroup called 'local.xailer.pro.en' not
being accessible.
The name has a nice ring to it (for me). Does it exist and how can I get to
it if it does?

When I 'RUN <someprogram>' my Xailer application waits until the other
program is ended. How can I initiate another program and retrun to the
Xailer application BEFORE that other application ends?

do most of what I want. It would, however, be much easier if the .txt files
in the DOC folder were also available in English. While I would not want
you to slow down the code developement, translations could be handled ...

It almosts works. If I create a button with the OnClick code of:
::cb1:cText := ::cb1ret[::cb1:nIndex]
and click after making the combobox selection, it puts the code (DIS) in the
edit control.
It just does not do it when I put the same statement in a combobox event.

I have several tables with a code and a description.
for Example:
ADM Admitted
TRN Transferred
DIS Discharged
I want a combo box where the user can enter DIS or drop down the list and
select 'Discharged'. I have an array with the codes for each of the drop
down locations.
